Mpumalanga HIV/AIDS & TB Association is a Voluntary Provincial Non-Profitable Organization that provides Home Based Care and Social Assistance to TB and HIV patients and their families.

MATA branches comprise of ±600 volunteers, based in over 30 townships throughout the province.

Our branches also organize advocacy events and health education sessions in communities around Mpumalanga.

We partner closely with the Provincial and Local — DOH (Department of Health) as well as DSS (Department of Social Services) and are striving to form new partnerships with potential donors.

Currently we manage to take care of 20 patients per day from as little as R100-00. During the 2003/2004 Financial Year, funding received from a few donors assisted MATA to take care of 2226 patients.
